Search for your business on RateMe using the search bar. If your business already has a listing, you'll see a "Claim this business" button on the page.
Click it and follow the verification steps. If your business isn't listed yet, you can add it yourself by clicking "Add a Business" and filling in the details. You'll then need to verify ownership before the listing goes live.
You'll need official documentation proving you own or manage the business. This usually includes business registration documents, proof of business address, or other official paperwork that confirms your connection to the business. The exact requirements depend on your business type, but we'll walk you through what's needed during the verification process.
Most business verifications are completed within 1 business days. If we need additional information or documentation from you, it might take a bit longer. We'll email you if we need anything else or once your verification is approved.
Log into your business account and go to your dashboard. You'll see all reviews left for your business. Click "Respond" beneath any review to write your response. Your response appears publicly below the customer's review. You can respond to both positive and negative reviews - it's a good way to show you're engaged with customer feedback.
No. You can't delete reviews, whether they're positive or negative. This keeps the platform honest and fair. However, you can respond to negative reviews to explain your side, apologize for problems, or offer to make things right. If a review breaks our guidelines - for example, it's fake, offensive, or based on hearsay - you can report it and we'll investigate.
If you believe a review is fake or breaks our guidelines, report it using the "Report" button beneath the review. Tell us why you think it shouldn't be published and provide any relevant information. We investigate every report. If the review genuinely violates our guidelines, we'll remove it. If it's just negative but legitimate, it stays up - but you can respond to give your side of the story.
Click the "Flag" button Top right hand corner of the review. Select the reason - fake review, offensive content, based on hearsay, conflict of interest, or another violation. Add any details that help us investigate, like explaining why you think it's fake or what guideline it breaks. We'll review your report and let you know the outcome.
